Battalion Chief Michael E. Doyle currently serves as the Facility Manager for the Derry Fire Department. He has primary responsibility for Capital Improvements, Maintenance, Repair, and Upkeep of the department's 4 Fire Stations. Battalion Chief Doyle began his career with the Derry Fire Department in 1986; working as a Firefighter, Emergency Medical Technician- Intermediate, and Apparatus Operator. In 1998 he was promoted to Lieutenant, functioning as an engine company officer. During this time he also served as an Inspector with the Bureau of Fire Prevention.
In 2005 he was promoted to Battalion Chief with responsibility for incident command and shift supervision of all on-duty personnel.
Battalion Chief Doyle holds a A.S. in Fire Science; he is currently pursuing a B.S. in Business Management from Granite State College. Battalion Chief Doyle is a Certified Fire Officer, a Certified Hazardous Materials Technician, and a Certified Fire Instructor from the National Fire Protection Association.
Battalion Chief Doyle grew up in Derry; was educated in the Derry School District. He resides in Manchester with his wife Patti, they have 3 grown sons; Matthew, Paul, and Timothy.
